Government.fi The Finnish Government is to be understood, on the one hand, as the body which convenes for the general governing of the country, consisting of the Prime Minister and other ministers, and, on the other hand, the decision-making body for governmental and administrative matters consisting of the Government plenary session and the ministries. -

Government’s analysis, assessment and research activities the Government annually adopts a plan for analysis, assessment and research in support of its decision making to steer studies and research towards specific priority areas selected by the Government. -
National foresight cooperation The Prime Minister's Office and Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund coordinate the national foresight network and support foresight activities and networking in Finland. The network brings together Finnish foresight data producers and is a discussion and coordination forum for national foresight actors. -
Traffic lab The focus in the Traffic lab is on new service concepts for transport and mobility, automation of transport, the internet of things and strategically significant pilot studies for business, industries and the regions. -
Avoindata.fi Avoindata.fi is a service for Finnish open data and interoperabilty standards and guidelines. -
Local government trials Local government trials In line with the decision made on 29 November 2013 on Implementing the Structural Policy Programme, local government trials will be carried out between 2015 and 2016 to help reduce duties and obligations in local government. -
Findicator Findicator is a service provided by the Prime Minister’s Office and Statistics Finland and it includes approximately 100 indicators for social progress. -
Smart Kalasatama Helsinki launched a Smart Kalasatama project in autumn 2013 that aims to make Kalasatama a model of smart urban construction, the Helsinki Smart City district. The area will be developed flexibly with pilot studies hand in hand with its inhabitants and businesses and city representatives and other actors. -
Helsinki Challenge This is a science-based competition and idea accelerator launched during the University of Helsinki’s 375th jubilee with a view to finding solutions to humanity’s great challenges and ways to build wellbeing in the future. -
Hinku Forum The HINKU Forum, established in spring 2013, is a network that brings together municipalities with ambitious aims to reduce greenhouse emissions, businesses that offer environmentally friendly products and services, and climate and energy experts. -
